JAFSCD Is Now OPEN ACCESS — Freely Readable by All

JAFSCD coversWith support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, JAFSCD has transitioned to become an open access (OA) journal as of January 1, 2018, with an enhanced focus on the interests of communities of need, HBCUs, Tribal colleges and universities, and Hispanic-serving institutions. Eliminating the disadvantage of a paywall, adding new programs such as an author mentoring program, and expanding our consulting editor program and our JAFSCD Food Systems Research, Policy, and Practice Briefs will help us maximize the impact of JAFSCD's peer-reviewed content in disadvantaged communities.

Borrowing from the CSA model, your share will make JAFSCD's content available to all. If your program or organization shares our goal of making JAFSCD open access, please learn more and consider supporting us.

Shareholders receive direct benefits, including joining the JAFSCD Shareholder Consortium and receiving a free premium listing in the Sustainable Food Systems Sourcebook. It's win-win.
